The 9 Day Midrange Adventure offers an exciting and well-rounded safari experience, designed for travelers who want to explore some of Tanzania’s most renowned wildlife destinations in a comfortable yet adventurous way. This carefully curated itinerary balances time spent in iconic national parks, ensuring that each day presents something new and thrilling, from vast savannahs to diverse wildlife encounters.
Starting with the Serengeti National Park, you’ll have the chance to witness one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife experiences, where the endless plains teem with a variety of animals, including the Big Five. This park is famous for the annual wildebeest migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move in search of fresh grazing lands. The Serengeti’s diverse ecosystems also host predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, making it an unforgettable destination for wildlife lovers.
Next, the adventure leads you to the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This collapsed volcanic caldera is home to a high concentration of wildlife, including endangered species like the black rhino. The views from the crater rim are breathtaking, and the chance to descend into the crater for a game drive offers an unparalleled opportunity to see diverse animals in one of the most unique and protected environments on earth.

Tour Plan
This will be your first day of your tour, we will pick you up from Kilimanjaro International Airport, then drive you to the lodge in Moshi for you to relax and prepare for the whole-time experience adventure

The foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro are a key coffee-producing region in the country, where the Chagga people have cultivated coffee for centuries. A day tour offers visitors the chance to experience the coffee-making process from bean to cup at a local family’s plantation. After enjoying a fresh cup of coffee, the tour includes a one-hour hike to the picturesque Materuni Waterfall, where guests can take photos, relax, and swim in the clear waters. The tour concludes with a return to the hotel in Moshi.

In the early morning, you'll meet your safari guide and set off in a 4x4 vehicle to Tarangire National Park. The Park is famously for its baobab trees and savannah woodlands, home to large
herds of elephants and various migratory animals like zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and buffaloes. The Tarangire River provides a crucial water source during the dry season, making it an excellent spot for game viewing. As evening approaches, you'll head to your lodge or tented camp for the night.

Start the day with an early morning game drive to observe active wildlife and unique animal interactions. Later, you can have a local visit to the Maasai community for an authentic cultural experience. After arriving at a nearby camp amidst Maasai homes, enjoy lunch and take time to medicine walk to learn about traditional plant remedies and other Maasai activities. You will conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at a tented camp or a nearby lodge.
The next destination is Lake Manyara National Park, located beneath the Manyara Escarpment. The Park is famous for its diverse wildlife, including primates, hippos, tree-climbing lions, large baboon troops, giraffes, and elephants. The lakeshore is often populated by flamingos and various bird species. As evening approaches, you'll head up to Karatu to spend the night and dinner.

Start the day with a pre-sunrise drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend 900 meters to the crater floor for a day-long game drive in this 300 km2 area, home to around 35,000 animals, including zebras, buffalo, lions, and old bull elephants. The crater is also one of the best places to see the rare black rhino. In the late afternoon, you'll return to Karatu for overnight and dinner.

After breakfast, you'll travel to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania's largest park and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Serengeti is renowned for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing. Even outside migration periods, the park offers excellent wildlife viewing, with over 4 million animals, including many predators. You'll stay overnight inside the park.

Enjoy a full day's game drive in the Serengeti, exploring the vast plains and observing wildlife, possibly witnessing the Great Migration. You can choose to take a packed lunch for an all-day drive or return to your camp/lodge for lunch and a break, with game drives in the early morning and late afternoon when animals are most active.
